An Agave Tree

I love Mediterranean landscapes with these agave trees. (Agave americana) They are actually native to the Americas, where their sugar-rich leaf juice is a staple ingredient in popular drinks such as Mezcal or Tequila. Unlike most other plants, agaves reproduce only once in their long lives. This particular plant is in full bloom and it will die shortly afterwards.

Igor

My pet iguana Igor. When I first got him, he was as big as my hand. Now he's longer than my arm.

At the Walls of Bodrum

A view of Bodrum's (Halicarnassos) seaside square from the walls of the Bodrum Castle.

The Magician

My favorite character from Turkish Star Wars. He always wants to destroy the world for no reason.

A Greek House from Tarabya

This amazing old Greek mansion is located near Tarabya (Therapia) in Istanbul.

A Bonfire

There's always somebody setting something on fire in Istanbul's streets!

Two Froglets

I raised these two Bufo viridis froglets from eggs, but the fat one died. The other one is now mature and free.

Pre-Pubescent Arms Race

Me and my brother are brandishing our Freudian water guns, sometime around 1996.
